About Us
Hello and welcome to The-Fac-dough-ry! My name is Stacey and I’m the creator of all the kits! I married my high school sweetheart Greg and moved to San Antonio in 2009. We have two children, Bryson (7) and Charlee (3.5). I decided to launch the Fac-dough-ry in 2020 after I created some fun sensory playdough kits for my children during quarantine. I searched online for something and just wasn’t happy with options and pricing. I wanted to share my love of crafting and creating with everyone while also being affordable. With the support of my husband Greg, I am able to do just that!
Our kits are made with quality, durable cases that are perfect for road trips and grandma’s house. Our kits store easily for ready to go for play at anytime! Our kits are geared towards all children ages 3 and up due to small pieces, but we also offer special toddler kits with larger pieces for our youngest customers!
We have a passion for sensory play. Our son Bryson was diagnosed with sensory processing disorder and autism when he was two years old. Since then, sensory has become a word used quite frequently in our home. I created these kits with him in mind- I find a specific theme and add fun accessories and items that encourage imaginary play while igniting the senses. Thank you so much for checking out our website and kits! With your support and word of mouth, we hope to share the love and passion of The-Fac-doughry with your friends and family.

What is sensory play?
Sensory play is an important aspect of childhood development. It includes using all five senses we are familiar with (taste, touch, smell, see, and hear). Sensory play is great for EVERY CHILD.
Sensory exploration is a child’s way of examining, discovering, categorizing, and making sense of the world, and it’s beneficial to provide them with opportunities for sensory play. (https://www.verywellfamily.com/)
Young children learn how to use their senses through play. It is crucial in their play to explore, get messy, and create! Sensory play utilizes the senses to build language and vocabulary, develop fine motor skills used for writing and scissor cutting, all while building pathways in the brain connecting different parts to one another. Through sensory play children learn how to problem solve and build their critical thinking skills. Nowadays its more important than ever to find activities that are both educational and fun while reducing screen time.
